Yarden Ashur

Post-Doc

Yarden is a social psychologist specializing in the intersection of social cognition and worldviews. In one line of research, she explores how political ideology is associated with basic social perception, testing differences between liberals and conservatives in social judgments that are based on minimal information. In a second line of research, she investigates factors that influence intergroup communication in conflict settings, focusing on the Arab Jewish context.

Yarden holds a BA in Behavioral Science and an MA in Social Psychology from Ben-Gurion University, as well as a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
