Roni Porat

Principal Investigator

Roni is a Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Israel where I study the micro and meso-level forces that motivate behavioral and societal change. Her research looks at how we can reduce prejudice and violence—particularly against women—through field and lab experiments. In addition, she studies the role of emotion, and anger in particular, for promoting social justice and social change.

Roni is the recipient of the the APS Rising Star Award, Azrieli Early Career Faculty Fellowship, the Gugenheim Foundation Distinguished Scholars 2024 award, and she’s a CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar Fellow. Roni is the mother of Anchu, Bar, and Uma, and Avishai’s partner in life.
