Dan Glasserman

PhD Student

Dan is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, working with Roni Porat and Noam Gidron. His research examines how social policies and interventions influence individuals in ways that advance equality and social change. He studies these questions particularly in the context of socially dominant groups, including research on paid fathers’ leave and the framing of racial redistributive policies. He also studies real-world interventions that aim to reduce prejudice and improve intergroup relations. His work integrates perspectives from political science and public policy with psychological research on preferences, perceived norms, zero-sum beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. He uses survey and field experiments as well as quasi-experimental approaches.

Dan is a recipient of the University President’s Scholarship and a member of the Advanced Graduate Program. Before joining the Hebrew University, he earned his B.A. in Political Science and Linguistics from Tel Aviv University.
